Baseball Recap: Loris Extends Winning Streak to Three

Loris had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Battery Creek Dolphins as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Hayden Day looked comfortable as he struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aiden Suggs, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Hardee, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Loris was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Loris' victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Battery Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

As of now, neither Loris nor the Dolphins have any future games scheduled.
