There's no place like home for Bowdon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Macon County Bulldogs 55-22 on Friday. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 338th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Joshua Hopkins had a dynamite game, rushing for 84 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 211 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. A healthy portion of Hopkins' aerial production (114 yards to be exact) went to Kaiden Prothro, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

When it comes to explaining why Macon County lost, don't look at Jakeyveon Parker. Despite the final result, he rushed for 138 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.

The win got Bowdon back to even at 1-1. As for Macon County, their record is now 0-2.

Bowdon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 48-7 victory against Bremen on the 29th. As for Macon County, they have also already played their next game, a 28-26 loss against Lakeside on the 29th.
