There's no place like home for Bowdon, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Macon County Bulldogs 55-22. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 326th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Joshua Hopkins had a dynamite game, rushing for 84 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 211 yards and three touchdowns on only 16 passes. Bowdon's leading receiver Kaiden Prothro was Hopkins' top target yet again, picking up 114 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Bowdon pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.8 points over those games. As for Macon County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bowdon will welcome Bremen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Macon County, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lakeside at 7:30 p.m.
