Basketball Recap: Field Falcons vs. Coventry Comets

After flying high against Springfield last Wednesday, Field came back down to earth. The Field Falcons took a 74-57 bruising from the Coventry Comets on Friday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Leading Coventry to victory were Reggie Edwards and Alex Meinen. Edwards dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds, while Meinen went 9 for 18 en route to 28 points. That's the most points Meinen has posted since back in November of 2024. Justus Stephens was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Field's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Coventry, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-6.

Field didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-50 loss against Mogadore on the 28th. Coventry has also already played their next contest, a 76-68 defeat against Wadsworth on the 28th.
