Softball Game Preview: Palos Verdes Sea Kings vs. Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves

The Palos Verdes Sea Kings will head out on the road to take on the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Palos Verdes has seven straight victories, Wiseburn- Da Vinci has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Palos Verdes will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Mira Costa, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Sea Kings walked away with a 5-2 win over the Mustangs on Wednesday.

Adela Randazzo was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Maven Ding was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Meanwhile, Wiseburn- Da Vinci fell victim to Peninsula and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Panthers, falling 6-0.

Palos Verdes' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Palos Verdes took their victory against Wiseburn- Da Vinci in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 12-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sea Kings since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
