Bethel had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Riverside on Tuesday. The Bees were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pirates. The Bees haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-18, 25-7.

Layla Moore paced Bethel's offense, picking up 11 kills. Moore got some help from Annabelle Adams and her 15 assists. Aubrey Bunting controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.

Bethel's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Riverside, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bethel is set to square off against their familiar foe Covington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Riverside will take on rival Northridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
