Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Soper

Soper had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 44-36 victory over the Caney Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-39 back in November.

Soper's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Caney, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Soper wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-31 victory against Fort Towson on the 16th. Caney will take on Boswell in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Scorpions have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
