Volleyball Recap: Bedford Comes Up Short

The Bedford Bisons didn't have quite enough to beat the Tyrone Golden Eagles on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Bisons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Bedford wouldn't go down easily and took Tyrone into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 22-25, 15-8.

Bailey Mickle paced Bedford's offense, picking up 11 kills. Mickle got some help from Rylee Lybarger and her 21 assists. Lybarger also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Taylor Magill, each putting up three.

Bedford's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Tyrone, their victory bumped their record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Bedford is taking a road trip to take on Bishop Guilfoyle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tyrone, they will be playing at home against Somerset at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
