Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Central Mountain

While Central Mountain's win against Mifflin County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wildcats won by a run and slipped past the Huskies 6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Camdyn Weaver made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cirstyn Watson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Eiler, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Central Mountain's record is now 3-1. As for Mifflin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Mountain will host Williamsport at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mifflin County, they will welcome Cumberland Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
