Hobbs and Roswell are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2022, but not for long. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Hobbs came up short against Carlsbad and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-13, 23-25, 25-18, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Roswell didn't have quite enough to beat Clovis on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Roswell wouldn't go down easily and took Clovis into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-27, 21-25, 16-14.

Hobbs' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-13. As for Roswell, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-17.

Hobbs beat Roswell 3-1 in their previous meeting last Tuesday. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Coyotes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
