Volleyball Recap: Sparkman Comes Up Short

Sparkman lost against Hartselle two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Senators fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Sparkman sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 15-13.

Taylor Reaviel was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 13 digs and three assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Sparkman has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Hartselle, they pushed their record up to 18-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Sparkman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Plainview on the 13th. As for Hartselle, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Ardmore on the 13th.
