Volleyball Recap: Bertha-Hewitt Takes a Loss

Bertha-Hewitt was the 3-0 winner over Upsala when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals on Thursday.

Bertha-Hewitt was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23.

Upsala can attribute much of their success to Alexa Pilarski, who had ten digs.

Bertha-Hewitt's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Upsala, their record is now 9-17.

Bertha-Hewitt wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Osakis on the 16th. As for Upsala, after both having extra time off, they and Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
