Softball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss. They lost 15-0 to the Crater Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 on Tuesday.

Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Crater, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season.

While Springfield had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
