Softball Recap: Pickens Gets the Win

Pickens won the last time they faced Walhalla and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Pickens Blue Flame walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Walhalla Razorbacks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Flame.

Sophie Duzan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Duzan was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaylee Bolding, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Ava Belle Lawton was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Pickens' win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Coincidentally, Pickens and Walhalla will both be playing Daniel the next time they take the field. Pickens will head out to face Daniel at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Walhalla will host them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
