Basketball Recap: Malachi Holden's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hinkley over Greeley West

Hinkley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 54-44 to the Greeley West Spartans.

Hinkley's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Holden, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten boards. Holden's afternoon made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Lopez, who posted 18 points.

Hinkley's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Greeley West, their victory bumped their record up to 2-21.

As of now, neither Hinkley nor Greeley West have any future games scheduled.
