Recap: Osceola Seminoles vs. Hillcrest Vikings
After flying high against the Harrisburg Hornets on Monday, the Osceola Seminoles came back down to earth. Osceola fell just short of Hillcrest by a score of 76-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Monday (67), Osceola still had to take the loss.
Hillcrest had a senior duo take command as Jordan Allen dropped a double-double on 31 points and 11 assists and Xavier Herron scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which Allen has scored at least 25% of Hillcrest's points. Rodney Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Osceola's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hillcrest, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Osceola will take on West Memphis at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hillcrest is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Craigmont at 7:30 p.m. on December 6th. Craigmont comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
