Volleyball Recap: Tates Creek Takes a Loss

If Tates Creek was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Bryan Station last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Commodores came up short against the Lafayette Generals on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Generals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 1st.

While Tates Creek had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-20, 25-19.

Tates Creek's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Lafayette, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-8.

Tates Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Henry Clay on the 30th. As for Lafayette, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Trinity on the 1st.
