Volleyball Recap: Savanna Comes Up Short

Savanna lost against Buena Park back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rebels fell 3-1 to the Coyotes.

Savanna started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-17, 25-13, 25-10.

Allison Lopez paced Savanna's offense, picking up six kills. Lopez got some help from Kenadee Ellis and her six assists. Jaelyn Weary controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Savanna's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Buena Park, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Savanna will head out to face off against Ocean View at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buena Park, they will take on Santa Ana at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Coyotes are facing the Saints at the right time seeing as the Saints are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
