Laker and Harbor Beach are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2017, but not for long. The Laker Lakers will be taking part in a tournament against the Harbor Beach Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Laker comes in on five and Harbor Beach on 15.

Laker saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-43 win over Bad Axe.

Meanwhile, Harbor Beach earned a 56-49 victory over Cass City on Wednesday. Given the Pirates' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd in Michigan, while the Red Hawks are ranked 322nd in Michigan), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harbor Beach's win bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Laker, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Laker was dealt a bruising 72-32 defeat at the hands of Harbor Beach when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Laker avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
