Basketball Game Preview: Benjamin Franklin Chargers vs. Rocky Mountain Lobos

The Benjamin Franklin Chargers will square off against the Rocky Mountain Lobos at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Rocky Mountain will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Benjamin Franklin extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Chargers came out on top against Safford by a score of 75-65.

Benjamin Franklin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Talan Speir led the charge by dropping a double-double with 20 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Speir has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Christensen, who went 10-for-17 en route to 23 points.

Rocky Mountain not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 7th (when they won 87-32). They blew past Rancho Solano Prep, posting a 69-41 victory.

Benjamin Franklin's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Rocky Mountain, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
