Volleyball Recap: Ponderosa Comes Up Short

Ponderosa lost against Rio Americano back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bruins came up short against the Raiders, falling 3-0. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-13, 25-15.

Rio Americano found their leader in sophomore Emma Simmons, who had 11 digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Kwynn Carrillo, who had six digs and two aces.

Ponderosa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Rio Americano, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 29-10.

Ponderosa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Vista del Lago on the 22nd. As for Rio Americano, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Inderkum on the 22nd.
