Sangre de Cristo piles up the points against Centennial

 The Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Saturday. They breezed by Centennial on the road  to the tune of  55-20. Sangre de Cristo has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four  matchups by 22  points or more this season.
 Sangre de Cristo's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Kaiden Smit, who  scored 18 points along with nine  rebounds and two  steals. Smit hasn't dropped below eight  rebounds for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of  Deagon Rogers, who  scored 22 points along with five  rebounds.
 The  win  makes it two in a row for Sangre de Cristo and  bumps their season record up to 7-4. As for Centennial, their defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 6-5.
 Sangre de Cristo will take on Creede at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant  against one another:  Will Roden and  Smit. As for Centennial, they will head out on the road to  take on  Cripple Creek-Victor at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
