Softball Game Preview: Hickory Red Tornadoes vs. West Iredell Warriors

The Hickory Red Tornadoes will face off against the West Iredell Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hickory hasn't scored more than two runs for six games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Hickory fell victim to Foard and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Tigers.

Meanwhile, West Iredell came up short against North Lincoln on Friday, falling 13-1. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Hickory's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for West Iredell, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Hickory couldn't quite get it done against West Iredell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Can the Red Tornadoes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
