Gordon Lee extended their road winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Abbigail Poteet. The Trojans skirted past the Coahulla Creek Colts 2-1 with plenty of help from Poteet, who had nine digs and two aces. She also put up an assist, which was her first of the season.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Gordon Lee who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 24-26, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Coahulla Creek had strong showings from Maddy Hambright, who had 15 assists, and Alyce Norton, who hit 60% for 20 kills and 14 digs and one block. Norton is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last 28 games she's played dating back to last season.

Gordon Lee's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Coahulla Creek, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, Gordon Lee and Coahulla Creek will both be playing Southeast Whitfield County the next time they take the court. The Trojans will head out to face the Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Colts will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
