Basketball Recap: West Stokes Starts Season with Loss on the Road + How To Watch

West Stokes kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 45-33 to the R.J. Reynolds Demons. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 47-45 to the Demons when the teams met back in November of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

R.J. Reynolds found their leader in freshman Di'Misha Watson, who shot 62% from the field to rack up 18 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jane Welch, who posted five points along with five rebounds and four blocks.

The victory got R.J. Reynolds back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, West Stokes will head out on the road to face off against South Stokes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for R.J. Reynolds, they will face off against Forsyth Country Day at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
