Basketball Recap: Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy Comes Up Short

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Big Bear Bears 70-39. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy has struggled against Big Bear recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Big Bear was led to victory by Savion Sorapuru and Brayden Benson. Sorapuru dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards, while Benson shot 50% from the field on his way to 22 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Benson is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Scott Allen, who posted 11 points.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Big Bear, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.
