Basketball Game Preview: Covington Buccs vs. Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks

Covington is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since February 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Miami East by a score of 57-55. The loss continues a trend for the Buccs in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Mississinawa Valley earned a 53-44 win over Union City on Saturday.

Mississinawa Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Covington, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Covington came up short against Mississinawa Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 54-44. Can Covington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
