Basketball Recap: Northeast Skates Past Mcnair with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Northeast's strategy against McNair on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Northeast Raiders blew the McNair Mustangs out of the water with a 79-26 final score. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season.

Leading Northeast to victory were Destinee Waller and Kassidy Davis. Waller went 8 for 12 on her way to 17 points and three steals, while Davis went 5 of 11 on her way to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. That's the most points Waller has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Alayla Hooks, who posted 12 points in addition to six boards and six steals.

The victory got Northeast back to even at 4-4. As for McNair, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Northeast will face off against Academy for Classical Education at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academy for Classical Education will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Northeast surely won't give up without a fight. As for McNair, they will take on Social Circle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
