Springstead not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since February 28th. They put the hurt on the Weeki Wachee Hornets with a sharp 7-0 victory. Seven seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Springstead let Tanner Henrickson and Taryn Henrickson run wild. Tanner scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Taryn scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Taryn a new career-high in RBI (two).

The victory made it two in a row for Springstead and bumps their season record up to 12-6. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to strikeouts: they averaged an imposing eight strikeouts in those games compared to only 3.94 in the others. As for Weeki Wachee, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
