Softball Recap: Twin Lakes Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lafayette Central Catholic on Tuesday, Twin Lakes came back down to earth. The Indians took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Lafayette Red Devils on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost six in a row.

Kendra Hughes was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one RBI. Miya Clerget also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Twin Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for West Lafayette, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Coming up, Twin Lakes will take on Rossville in a tournament on Friday. As for West Lafayette, they are taking a road trip to take on Harrison at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
