Basketball Preview: McKinley Tech Trainers vs. Woodson Warriors
McKinley Tech has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Woodson Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McKinley Tech has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 441 points over their last seven matches.
On Monday, McKinley Tech faced the Bulldogs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. McKinley Tech fell to the Bulldogs 62-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Meanwhile, Woodson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Monday after their fifth straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 55-30 defeat at the hands of Eastern.
McKinley Tech's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Woodson, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13.
Everything came up roses for McKinley Tech against the Warriors in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 58-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for McKinley Tech since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
