Justin Ruiz gave up the fewest hits he has since back in March on Tuesday. He was dynamite, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jefferson is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-10 otherwise.

Coming up, Ruiz and Jefferson will head out on the road to challenge Highlands at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Owls thanks in part to Ruiz: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
