For the first time this season, Trinity Leadership will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Gateway Charter Academy Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Trinity Leadership has three straight wins, Gateway Charter Academy has nine straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Trinity Leadership didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Zion Love, Javan Shields, and Demas picked up one apiece. Shields is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Trinity Leadership got some further help from Anthony Armstead: he made 17 total tackles.

Meanwhile, while it was Gateway Charter Academy who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Cross Roads who put up more. The Gators fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 21-18. While the Gators didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bobcats 6-0 in the first quarter.

Trinity Leadership now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Gateway Charter Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
