Basketball Game Preview: Perry-Lecompton Kaws vs. Rossville Bulldogs

The Perry-Lecompton Kaws will square off against the Rossville Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Perry-Lecompton ended up a good deal behind St. Marys and lost 65-46. While losing is never fun, the Kaws can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Bears are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rossville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 65-42 margin over Riley County on Tuesday.

Rossville pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.7 points per game. As for Perry-Lecompton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6.

Perry-Lecompton might still be hurting after the 57-37 loss they got from Rossville when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Perry-Lecompton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
