Volleyball Recap: Garaway Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Audrey Miller and Gina Beachy + How To Watch

Garaway was the 3-1 winner over Shenandoah when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Zeps by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Garaway started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-12.

Garaway's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Gina Beachy, who had eight digs, and Audrey Miller, who had 23 digs, 22 kills, two aces, and one block. Miller has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 19 times she's played. Kate Miller also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Garaway's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Shenandoah, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

Garaway has already played their next match (against Sandy Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Shenandoah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Waterford on the 23rd.
