Baseball Recap: Dilley Takes a Loss

Dilley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 15-1 to the Lytle Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-0 back in March.

Dilley's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Lytle, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Dilley has already played their next match, a 6-3 defeat against Natalia on the 14th. As for Lytle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Hondo on the 14th.
