Basketball Game Preview: Oologah Mustangs vs. Miami Wardogs

The Oologah Mustangs will square off against the Miami Wardogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Miami will be up against a hot Oologah squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Oologah snuck past Vinita with a 60-56 win on Friday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Hornets are ranked 303rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Miami, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 73-52 margin over Verdigris on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Wardogs have posted since December 14, 2024.

Miami's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Oologah, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Oologah skirted past Miami 70-67 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Will Oologah repeat their success, or does Miami have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
