Basketball Game Preview: Hopedale Blue Raiders vs. Wellesley Raiders

The Hopedale Blue Raiders will be taking part in a tournament against the Wellesley Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hopedale has three straight wins, Wellesley has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Hopedale is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Advanced Math & Science Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Hopedale blew past Advanced Math & Science Academy 58-33 on Thursday. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Blue Raiders had established a 20 point advantage.

Patrick Madden had an outrageously good game as he posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was Keigan Murphy, who earned 13 points.

Meanwhile, Wellesley scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 64-63 to Doherty Memorial.

Wellesley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Hopedale, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
