Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. David). They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Duncan Wildkats on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.
Owen Judd made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.
In other batting news, St. David let Cedar Haynie and Clark Wilson run wild. Haynie scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Wilson scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
