Basketball Recap: Syracuse Now 10-1 over Last 11 Games

Syracuse had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 21-point drubbing they dealt Farmington on Friday. The Syracuse Titans were the clear victor by a 60-39 margin over the Farmington Phoenix. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Rachel McBride, who went 6 for 10 on her way to 17 points and eight boards. Kennedy Hadley also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Several Phoenix players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Breklyn Archibald, who posted 17 points. Morgan Rogers was another key player, putting up nine points and seven rebounds.

Syracuse has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Farmington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-9.

Syracuse will host Layton at 5:15 p.m. on January 31st. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Syracuse has seven straight victories, Layton has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court. As for Farmington, they will head out to challenge Weber at 5:15 p.m. on January 31st.
