Baseball Recap: Century Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Century's offense. They lost 6-0 to the McMinnville Grizzlies on Monday. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Century got a good showing from Landon Springer, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for McMinnville, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-3.

While Century had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
