Baseball Recap: Hermitage Takes a Loss

Hermitage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Appleton City Bulldogs. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 11-10 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hermitage's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Appleton City, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Hermitage will take on Weaubleau at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Appleton City, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Sherwood at 5:00 p.m. The Marksmen will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
