Football Recap: Lafayette Skates Past Mccluer with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lafayette). They breezed past the McCluer Comets to the tune of 63-6 on Saturday. With the Lancers ahead 49-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

The win keeps Lafayette at an undefeated 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.7 points on average this season. As for McCluer, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Lafayette will head out to square off against Eureka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats' defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so the Lancers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
