Baseball Recap: Manor Comes Up Short

Churchland hit Manor with a 11-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs came up short against the Truckers, falling 17-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Truckers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Ethan McCrickard was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Harrison Griffin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Manor's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Churchland, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Looking ahead, Manor will take on Granby at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Comets will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Mustangs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Churchland, they will challenge Kecoughtan at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
