Softball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 33rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-1 to the Vallivue Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-3 two weeks ago.

Columbia's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Vallivue, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-4.

Looking ahead, Columbia will square off against Nampa at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Vallivue, they will face off against Emmett at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
