Garrison Vaughn Game Report: vs Newberry Academy

Opposing passers better start keeping an eye on Garrison Vaughn: he recorded his first sack on Friday and we're guessing he's looking for more. He also forced one fumble and made six total tackles (5.0 for loss), helping propel Laurens Academy past Newberry Academy by a score of 30-14. We hope Vaughn's good performance is the first of many we'll see posted here on MaxPreps.com.

Looking ahead, Vaughn and Laurens Academy are taking a road trip to square off against Wardlaw Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since October of 2015, but a win here would be a good start.
