Volleyball Recap: Eastern Alamance Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Eastern Alamance lost against Person back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles came up short against the Rockets, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-20, 25-14.

McKenzie Blevins paced Eastern Alamance's offense, picking up eight kills. Blevins got some help from Hannah Batista and her 15 assists. Grace Perry controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Person to victory were Ragan Ward and Logan Hurdle. Ward had seven digs and three aces, while Hurdle had seven digs and one assist. Those seven digs gave Ward a new career-high. Maddi Moore also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Eastern Alamance's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Person, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Eastern Alamance and Person should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Eagles will take on Cummings at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (236 vs. 525). Meanwhile, Person (ranked 33rd) will meet Western Alamance (ranked 114th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
