Sacred Heart won the last time they faced Knoxville Catholic and things went their way on Thursday too. The Valkyries came out on top against the Fighting Irish by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Valkyries.

Sacred Heart never let Knoxville Catholic on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-22.

Sacred Heart found their leader in sophomore Cate Bakken, who had nine digs and five aces.

Sacred Heart has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Knoxville Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Sacred Heart will head out on the road to challenge Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Knoxville Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Farragut at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Admirals have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
