IMG Academy Black entered their tilt with Braden River on Thursday with eight consecutive wins dating back to last season but they'll enter their next game with nine. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Braden River Pirates.

Koby Seelig looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit while striking out six over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Frankie Thomas, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Kento Yamada was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

IMG Academy Black's victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Braden River, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
