Baseball Recap: IMG Academy Gold Comes Up Short

The IMG Academy Gold Ascenders wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

IMG Academy Gold got a good showing from Miguel Barajas, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Barajas has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, IMG Academy Gold saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Hudmon, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Dylan Galloway also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

IMG Academy Gold's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for McKeel Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. IMG Academy Gold will challenge Naples at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McKeel Academy, they will face off against Lakeland Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Vikings have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
