Westside saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Valdosta.
Loss or not, Westside got some senior leadership from Joshua Harden and Jatavion Zellner. Harden almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds, while Zellner earned 13 points in addition to five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jalen Whitley, who scored five points plus five assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spencer). They put the hurt on Schley County with a sharp 75-51 win on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Greenwave have posted since January 23rd.
